About The Stamm Trust

Our organization was founded in Fort Collins, Colorado in 2008 when several of us who are "able" -- disabled-- under the meaning and intention of the Americans with Disabilities Act and other civil rights legislation realized that local advocacy groups--who actually call themselves advocates-- are afraid to invoke or refer to the law in assisting us in housing, the judicial system, employment, places of public accommodation such as restaurants and coffee houses, and in health care.

We are a peer advocacy group coming together under the First Amendment Right of Assembly and the right to co-advocate and self-advocate as set forth in the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, the Fair Housing Act, and the Colorado Antidiscrimination Act.

It is very important that you understand that while we are not attorneys, we are accomplished, experienced advocates protected from allegations of the unauthorized practice of law per the anti-retaliation and anti-intimidation clauses of the ADA and The Fair Housing Act.

We base our assistance on this legislation as codified in the USC, as precedents and protocols are established by case law, and via our reading of the protections of the law.

At this time we are not affiliated with the following agencies:  Disabled Resource Services, Fort Collins, or the Colorado Cross-Disability Coalition, as we feel that it is important to remain small and below the radar in protecting the access to our members.  Contact us at stammtrust@yahoo.com and leave an e-mail address or phone number. and at 970-797-2413.
